The Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 7:00 P.M. on February 21, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
A very important game for the Elite and this might be their final push in order to qualify to the next round while the Fuel Masters are also in a similar situation.
The playoffs chase had begun and the intense battle for fighting the ticket of 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup Quarterfinals will be witnessed by PBA fans this evening.
Both teams have a couple obvious similarities when they tangle up this evening inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Phoenix and Blackwater will miss one important player from their roster as they traveled with Gilas Pilipinas to square-off the Australia Boomers.
Allein Maliksi will be out for the Elite while sharpshooter Matthew Wright won’t be available for Phoenix.
Both Phoenix and Blackwater share the same number of wins with four victories, the only main difference is that the former still have one more game game schedule while the latter will be their last in this conference.
“Must win. No other comment,” said coach Leo Isaac going to his final remaining game this 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup.
“At least nasa kamay pa namin ang fate namin. Nasasa-amin na ‘yon to make things happen,” said Alas.
Even their ace players are away both coaches still have plenty of firepower to strengthen their chances of winning.
Phoenix can throw-in Jeff Chan, LA Revilla, Jason Perkins, JC Intal for their scoring needs while Blackwater can depend on Mac Belo, Poy Erram, Michael DiGregorio and Raymar Jose in the absence of Maliksi.
