The Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:30 P.M. on November 15, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
Both the Fuel Masters and the Elite wanted to exit the competition in high spirits as both squads will play their last game this 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.
For coach Louie Alas they wanted to dedicate this match for their fans and also the management of Phoenix.
“We would still try to go for that win,” said Fuel Masters coach Louie Alas. “Siyempre, it would be nice to end your campaign on a winning note at isa pa we owe it to our fans and management to still give our best kahit last game na namin ito for the year,” he added.
Phoenix almost stole the victory against the Alaska Aces last Wednesday. They were down by 11 points as the game enters its last two minutes but Matthew Wright, Jason Perkins, and Justin Chua didn’t want to get pushed easily.
They were able to put their squad closer at 102-105. Perkins had the last chance to send the game to overtime but his corner three-pointer attempt was a miss.
For the Blackwater squad, on the other hand, a massive player movement was made by the franchise and even dispatched its number two overall pick in the last year’s draft, Bobby Ray Parks Jr.
Yet, it seems that the Elite wanted to experience rather than the new breed of players.
This afternoon’s game will be another opportunity for them to build that team chemistry and winning attitude.
“We would still give it our best effort,” said coach Aris Dimaunahan. “Siyempre, it would be nice to end your campaign on a winning note at isa pa we owe it to our fans and management to still give our best kahit last game na namin ito for the year.”
