The Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:30 P.M. on November 4, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The last day of the elimination round and the last ticket for the twice-to-beat advantage train is still for grabs. That’s the prize the winner will get after the collision of the Elite and the Fuel Masters which will happen in the Big Dome.

Usually, the end of the elimination round is just a warm-up for teams that will be heading to the playoffs but for Blackwater and Phoenix is a different story.

If you ask Elite head coach Bong Ramos what the game will look like this afternoon? His answer is, “It’s a war.”

Most of its stint in the PBA, Blackwater will either get eliminated or in the borderline to qualify in the playoffs. However, this conference is huge step forward for their franchise as they’re now talking how to get the win-once incentive in the quarterfinals.

With the leadership of Henry Walker which also dates back in last year’s Governors’ Cup continue to be evident this conference. That trait is one of the major concerns of Phoenix head coach Louie Alas.

“Henry Walker is very, very smart so we have to do a lot better against Blackwater,” said Alas.

For the Fuel Masters on the other hand, just like Blackwater, they also improved this season especially this third conference.

With the acquisition of Calvin Abueva prior to the start of the Governors’ Cup, the team became a serious title contender.

Winning today’s game will lift them to second spot but in case they end up with a loss they’ll be pushed down in the number six spot.
