The Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on July 6, 2019 live from the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Fuel Masters are eyeing for their third consecutive wins while the Dyip wanted to end their 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign in a high note when tournament resumes this afternoon in SM MOA arena.
The squad coached by Johnedel Cardel is currently on the rise though their win-loss record really don’t justify their import as they’re once again at the bottom of the standings.
Still, pushing Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the mighty San Miguel Beermen to overtime shows that they’re no longer that push-over team.
Against the NorthPort Batang Pier which holds the number two spot in the second conference standings, if Lester Prosper wasn’t called for goal tending late in the fourth quarter, the game may have ended in their favor.
That’s why Phoenix head coach Louie Alas is giving much importance to their curtain-raiser match.
“We are preparing extra hard. Sobrang dangerous ang Columbian,” said Alas.
For coach Cardel, his team is now on the way for another early exit but promised that they’ll stay competitive.
“Kahit wala ng chance (for the playoffs) at medyo mabigat itong last two games namin kailangan pa rin naming ipanalo para ma-improve winning record at para na rin sa players, para sa growth nila,” said Cardel.
