The Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on June 10, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Dyip will make another attempt to stop their losing streak and keep their playoffs alive at their schedule this afternoon while the Fuel Masters are also thinking the same as they’re now staring at their back-to-back defeats.
Columbian Dyip found renewed energy during their clash with the San Miguel Beermen in their last outing. Dyip keep its distance with the Beermen until the end of the game and this is what coach Ricky Dandan wanted to happen as they’re chasing a playoff spot.
“Tomorrow’s game will be the biggest for us this conference,” said Dandan. “A win will put us in a good position to vie for a playoff slot. We will fight to the finish and do everything we can to get that win.” he added.
John Fields displayed several slam dunks against the long arms of SMB led by June Mar Fajardo and Renaldo Balkman. Fields was 19 points and 22 rebounds in the game.
On the other hand, coach Louie Alas played another overtime again this conference but this time came short on beating the Meralco Bolts.
The veteran coach has decided to rest his wards following that clash against the Bolts instead of having another intense basketball practice.
“X’s and O’s I have no problem with. My main concern is the fatigue factor. Major minutes mga in rotation guys ko,” said Alas.
Currently Columbian Dyip is at seventh place ahead of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel while the Phoenix Fuel Masters are in the sixth spot tied with the GlobalPort Batang Pier.
