The Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on October 25, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.
The Fuel Masters wanted to make a quick bounce-back win while the Dyip will try to stop their losing skid which now reaches two when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup resumes this afternoon in Cubao.
Unlike last year, Phoenix was one of the top teams in the season-ending tourney but after the incidents where it involved Calvin Abueva last conference, the Fuel Masters appeared to be rolling downhill.
To add more problems in the team, Eugene Phelps got injured and Phoenix is forced to look for his replacement.
This afternoon, NBA veteran Alonzo Gee will reinforce the squad coached by Louie Alas.
“Hopefully, mag-click new import namin,” said Alas.
For Columbian on the other hand, in their last outing they faced the mighty San Miguel Beermen but that time around they have ended their mastery against SMB where they won in the elimination rounds of 2019 Philippine Cup and in 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Still, coach Johnedel Cardel still optimistic that his team can be able to regroup and start winning again.
“Pahirap na ng pahirap ang laban. But the good news is, we still have our destiny in our hands,” said Cardel.
