Several netizens tagged the Raffy Tulfo In Action page after a Grab Food driver Romer Bacani asked for help.
According to Bacani’s story, he was on his way to deliver the ordered food of his customer who lives in Eastwood, Quezon City. However, Bacani was not familiar with the street rules of the said area where he later had a confrontation with three security guards.
Out of those three SGs, Julius Canay appeared to be the tougher one as he punched the Grab Food driver leaving him with a swollen and bloody eye and nose. The reason for their intense words exchange is the parking area where Bacani wanted to station his service vehicle which is a pedestrian lane according to Canay.
Based on Atty. Garreth Tungol, the least case that can be filed against the aggressor is less serious physical injury. The Chief of Staff, Office of Hon. Jocelyn P. Tulfo ACT-CIS Partylist also gave more technical details with regards to the classification of Physical Injuries under the Revised Penal Code.
Likewise, probably for the first time after the news broke out and wen trending online, SG Julius Canay made his statement with regards to the incident. Canay admitted that he made a mistake and will try to convince Bacani for a settlement.
Idol Raffy Tulfo promised to extend help to Bacani as well as to his family since the Grab Food driver may be not able to work for the next several weeks because of his condition.
