The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:30 P.M. on June 8, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Elite will build their winning momentum from their last outing victory and looking for a back-to-back wins while the Elasto Painters are looking forward to solidify their top spot position when PBA resumes this afternoon.
Blackwater import Henry Walker gave his team the reason why he deserved to be their foreign hire choice as he lifted the Elite to a victory against the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok in their during their last timeout.
Walker who is originally planned to return with Blackwater in the upcoming 2018 PBA Governor’s Cup was recalled early as coach Bong Ramos’ crew having difficulty finding W in this conference.
Usually an explosive scorer, the former NBA player probably still adjusting to the game plan of the coach Ramos who earlier replace coach Leo Isaac.
“He’s in shape, but not in game-shape,” said Ramos. “At saka nag-a-adjust din siya sa akin.”
On the other hand, Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia hopes that Blacwater’s import game explosion won’t happen during their scheduled game.
“We can’t be complacent against them because we know that Walker can come out any time and explode,” said Garcia.
The Elasto Painters has a proven history of how they dealt with teams which are at the end of the standings. It seems that ROS players tends to relax and resulted to a loss.
“Just told the players that we have to come out strong and wanting it more than Blackwater, especially now that they got their first win,” said Garcia on the eve of the match.
Rain or Shine will be gunning a solo lead in the standings and will break its shared position with the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters. ROS will continue to depend on their hefty import Reggie Jackson who is unstoppable inside the paint but in offensive and defensive ends of the floor.
