The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:30 P.M. on October 7, 2018 live from Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex, Laguna.
The Elite continue to surprise many PBA fans and this afternoon they’re looking for more and start a new winning streak while the Elasto Painters continue to search its first victory this 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Blackwater successfully made a quick bounce back game after they have beaten the Meralco Bolts last Friday in a dramatic fashion.
Paul Zamar’s game winner boosted the chances of the Elite to make it to the top four as they’re now sharing the second spot in the standings having 5-1 slate.
On paper, next assignment for coach Bong Ramos team is another weak squad but he warned his players not to under estimate the capabilities of the Elasto Painters.
“Ang Rain or Shine malakas na team yan. Kahit walang panalo pa yan, we can’t underestimate them,” said Ramos. “Kaya I told them sa viewing namin, huwag niyong isipin na wala pang talo ang Rain or Shine,” he added.
For coach Caloy Garcia, he thinks that consistency is the main problem for his team why until now they’re still winless.
“We were doing something consistently for three quarters, and then pagdating ng fourth biglang nawala,” said Garcia.
Apart from that issue probably some unfortunate events also played a factor in their previous outing. Raymond Almazan wasn’t available due to an emergency reasons while their new import Terrence Watson was a victim of food poisoning.
In their game against Alaska Aces, RoS was in control as they entered the fourth quarter but Aces forward Vic Manuel and import Mike Harris went loose and Alaska totally took the momentum and win the game.
