The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on May 9, 2018 live from the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Elasto Painters are looking to solidify and keep their unblemished record in the ongoing 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup while the Columbian Dyip are looking to make a quick bounce back game.
Known as the Kia Picanto back in the 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup, coach Ricky Dandan and his squad sole victory in first conference was against the Elasto Painters.
Coach Caloy Garcia can still remember that and wanted to avoid another trap from its 4:30 PM opponent.
“Coach Ricky was able to transform his team to a run-and-gun type,” noted Garcia.
“They lead the league in turnover points so we have to limit our turnovers and our transition defense will play a big key if we want to limit their scorers,” bared Garcia.
Columbian Dyip able to turned the heads of many PBA fans early this conference after their stellar start. They became one of the exciting teams in the PBA especially the revelation of Jerramy King.
However, against the tenacious defense of Alaska Aces last Friday, it seems that Columbian Dyip is going back to their old losing ways. Coach Ricky Dandan is aware with the situation and they’ll do everything to get back on winning tracks.
“Big game for us,” stated Dandan. “We are going all out to bounce back.”
It seems that coach Caloy Garcia finally found the right combination for his team and ROS happy moments are here once again. Back in 2012 Governors’ Cup while still with their former coach Yeng Guiao, the Elasto Painters started the conference with the same record. To make the long story short, at the end of that conference ROS able to snag its first PBA title.
Winning another game this afternoon will put the Elasto Painters as the solo leader at 4-0 and will separate them with the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters.
