The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok at 6:45 P.M. on June 2, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

A solo leadership in the 2018 PBA Commissioner’s Cup standings and a playoff berth will be the prize for the Elasto Painters if they get the “W” after the game while the Hotshots are looking to make a four-game winning streak.

Magnolia will officially start its new life after the departure of Vernon Macklin. Macklin helped the Hotshots swept its last three games and only absorbed one defeat. The former Detroit Pistons big-man left Magnolia due to his commitment to one of the teams in a Chinese Basketball League.

Macklin will be replaced by a 30-year-old 6’10 power forward and his name is Curtis Kelly. Kelly is a French League veteran and was averaging 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and sharp in his shooting with 63 percent.

Coach Chito Victolero will expect that he will fill the void left by Macklin with the Hotshots who logged 21 points and 13.3 rebounds in the span of four games.

The Elasto Painters on the other hand, will attempt to be the first team this conference to have a playoff berth markings at the side of its team name in the standings. Probably the best start of Rain or Shine after coach Yeng Guiao left the franchise and moved to the NLEX Road Warriors.

After the scuffle which took place prior to the start of the PBA All-Star break. Several players of the Elasto Painters got slapped with fines, not only that they also have the bloody lips of Chris Tiu after he got elbowed by GlobalPort Batang Pier’s import Malcolm White.

Still, there’s good news for coach Caloy Garcia and also to ROS fans that they will have their complete lineup this evening.
