The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:15 P.M. on December 29, 2017 live from the Cuneta Astrodome.
The Elite is itching to end their ten-game losing skid against the Elasto Painters while coach Caloy Garcia’s squad is eyeing a back-to-back wins when 2017-18 PBA Philippine Cup resumes this afternoon.
Coach Leo Isaac is optimistic that they will throw an entertaining game against Rain or Shine, one of the PBA ball-clubs that they haven’t beaten yet.
“It’s going to be a good game to watch,” said Elite coach Leo Isaac. “Our defense has to hold its own against the firepower of Rain or Shine to have a good chance of winning over them.”
2017 PBA Rookie Draft third overall pick Raymar Jose had a stellar performance in his PBA debut logging 16 points and 6 rebounds against the Meralco Bolts.
The Elite had a good chance to grab its first win from their initial schedule but KG Canaleta found his shooting strokes especially in the second half.
Despite getting out-rebounded in their game against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa, the Elasto Painters found a way to win the game. Coach Caloy Garcia probably have seen enough from their previous game and this is most likely one of the adjustments his team should have to make.
“We have to do better on the boards,” said Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia, “We can’t allow Blackwater to get second attempts,” he added.
Beau Belga has decided to takeover the game against TNT dropped 14 points and five rebounds and expected to see him banging neither Mac Belo or Raymar Jose inside the post.
Raymond Almazan also chipped in a double-double output with 11 points and 10 rebounds along with his three blocked shots while Chris Tiu added 12 points.
