The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Star Hotshots at 4:30 P.M. on August 27, 2017 live from Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Continue to stay unblemished in the ongoing 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup is what the Hotshots have in mind while the Elasto Painters are gunning for three-game winning streak.

The fruits of players movement for Rain or Shine seems now in effect as they now harvested two games in a row.

Last time around they have defeated a Castro-Pogoy-Rosario-less squad along with their new and untested import. Also, last August 13 RoS whipped Kia Picanto via a 86-94 route.

Today against Star, coach Caloy Garcia is optimistic on beating their opponent which they haven’t defeated since the Paul Lee – James Yap trade which took place early this 2016-17 PBA Season.

“We are playing the only team who haven’t lost yet and we haven’t beaten this season,” said Garcia before baring his basic gameplan.

“If we can come out with the same energy that we had the last game and stop their shooters then we might have a chance at beating Star,” stated Garcia. “We have to come out strong and respect their shooters.”

Also, the Elasto Painters are set to welcome back their Gilas boys, Raymond Almazan and Gabe Norwood. These addition will definitely boost the chances of Rain or Shine on making back-to-back-to-back victories.

Just like RoS, Star Hotshots will also welcome their speedy point guard Jio Jalalon who is reported that will now embrace on playing more as a playmaker instead of a scorer.

Also, Marc Pingris is expected to play more meaningful minutes after his fine-tuning game versus Phoenix Fuel Masters four days ago. In that game, Pingris logged 2 rebounds and one assist in just 2:38 minutes.
