Malacañang clarified that religious and work-related mass gatherings are still not allowed under the guidelines of General Community Quarantine or also known as GCQ.
During the Laging Handa public briefing, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque has announced that there are several public officials where their areas are now in GCQ complained that it is difficult to impose the social distancing if religious and work-related mass gatherings are to be allowed.
“Ipinagbabawal po muli ang mass gatherings even for religious activities or yung mga work-related gatherings, balik po tayo doon sa rule,” Roque said.
Apart from the mass gatherings, several sectors and activities remain to be closed under GCQ: schools, leisure, amusement, gaming, fitness, kids industry, and tourism.
