San Migeul Beermen player Ronald Tubid was captured in a video where he punched the man who dressed-up like Spiderman.
At the peak of the San Miguel versus Magnolia Game Five match a man who wore the costume of the popular Marvel comic superhero suddenly run inside the basketball court of the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
His action was resulted to a disruption of the game and that was also the moment when the Beermen were attempting to make a comeback.
Spidey was quickly apprehended by the security personnel present inside the Big Dome and he was brought out from the playing court.
While on his way out, Tubid chased him and gave him a punch.
“Siguro, dala lang ng init ng ulo,” said Tubid. “Momentum na namin eh. Instead na tuluy-tuloy, ang outcome natalo pa kami ng two points. So parang ‘yung galit na ‘yun, bakit nangyari ‘yun. Nasaktan ‘yung big man namin.”
Tubid also made a public apology for his action and admitted that it’s not right.
“Pagdating sa team namin, nagdilim ‘yung paningin ko. Hindi ko lubos matanggap na bakit. As a veteran, kailangan ko ipagtanggol ‘yung teammate ko. ‘Yun lang.”
“Pero ‘yung nasuntok ko, sorry,” said Tubid.
The Beermen lost in that Game Five clash and will try to make tie the series on Sunday to push a sudden death match.
