The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters struggled to convert a basket in the fourth period cost them another game against the Magnolia Hotshots yesterday evening in Cuneta Astrodome, 71-82.

Mark Barroca and Jio Jalalon led the Hotshots in scoring with 14 points apiece but the Bida Player of the Game was awarded to the “Black Prince”.

As both teams loved to play defense, the result of their match was a low scoring game. Magnolia limited ROS to shoot only 30% while the Elasto Painters made Hotshots to convert 40%.

“It wasn’t an easy game. It’s really a grinding game because we play the same game. Kaya talagang pahirapan,” Barroca also said.

Magnolia streak shooter guard Paul Lee was the victim of that RoS pesky defense as the former Elasto Painters went scoreless.

The Hotshots is just a game away for them to return to the biggest stage of 2019 PBA Philippine Cup after being down 0-2 at the start of their semi-finals round.

Gabe Norwood paced Rain or Shine with his 15 points and 5 rebounds.

Game 6 of the Rain or Shine vs Magnolia will resume of April 26 and will be played at Ynares Center in Antipolo.
