The Philippine Basketball Association (SBP) has expressed its full support for Kai Sotto after his misfortune in the NBA G League.
The SBP leadership supports Sotto, particularly in his dream of becoming the first Filipino to enter the NBA.
“The Philippine Basketball Association will always be one-hundred percent behind Kai Sotto as he pursues his NBA dream,” said SBP president Al Panlilio.
Panlilio assured that the SBP would remain Sotto’s home, especially since the 7-foot-3 cager proved to be ready to do everything to be part of the national team in international tournaments.
In fact, Sotto even returned to the Philippines to join Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers in Doha, Qatar, but the tournament was cancelled.
