The San Beda University Red Lions is scheduled for a championship game 2 head-to-head match against the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates at 4:00 P.M. on November 12, 2018 live from the Mall of Asia.
The Pirates are looking to make a bounce back and keep their championship hopes alive while the Red Lions wanted to close it and complete a three-peat.
Without CJ Perez Lyceum is like a ship without their captain. However, this Game 2 the top Pirate is set to return and help his squad to avoid getting eliminated.
In Game 1, San Beda took advantage the Perez-less squad of coach Topix Robinson. Early in the game, they mounted a 20-points lead, 31-11.
However, Lyceum didn’t want to surrender and prove that other guys can step-up especially in that important occasion.
The Pirates made several attempt to make a comeback but the Red Lions always had its answers to keep their distance.
In the fourth quarter with less than two minutes in regulation, Pirates guard Jaycee Marcelino made a basket and cuts the lead of their opponent to ten points, 60-70.
As usual, San Beda got its answer and it was Jo Presbitero who threw the final dagger of that game as he swished a three-pointer, 73-60.
The Red Lions had a balanced offensive game to capture Game 1. Robert Bolick got 12 points while Javee Mocon added 14 points.
Mike Harry Nzeusseu took over the slack left by Perez as he lead the Pirates in scoring with 16 points.
