San Miguel Beermen First Practice For 2019 Done Without Terrence Romeo

San Miguel Beermen conducted their first team practice for the year 2019 but their newly acquired high scorer, Terrence Romeo still a no-show.

The Beermen is the reigning champion of the Philippine Cup is set to defend their crown as the first professional basketball league kicks-off this coming January 13, 2019.

Team manager Gee Abanilla confirmed via spin.ph that Romeo will join the team on Thursday.

Romeo was probably the biggest name before the 2018 has ended to be involved in a trade.

He was dealt by the SMB from TNT KaTropa for Brian Heruela, David Semarad and a future draft pick.

Also not in the SMB practice game is the 2017 top overall pick, Christian Standhardinger who was granted to have an extended vacation.

After joining the Gilas Pilipinas back in 2017 in the Jones Cup, Standhardinger has no longer rest as he also suited up with the ASEAN Basketball League then several Gilas international campaign like the FIBA 3×3, 2018 Asian Games and the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Other newly acquired guards of the Beermen, Paul Zamar and Ronald Tubid are both with the team doing their usual basketball drills.
