Yet, the squad coached by Leo Austria will face a major challenge in this 2020 PBA Philippine Cup as their main anchor got sidelined due to an injury. During their preparation for the upcoming All-Filipino tournament, June Mar Fajardo absorbed a leg injury that could potentially keep him out for the remainder of the season.
However, San Miguel’s roster remains to be deep. They already have Mo Tautuaa to man the post.
It was also reported that coach Austria might embrace the small-ball offense plus some new offensive strategies as they temporarily set aside the usual hi-low scheme that brought them multiple championship trophies in the past several years.
