The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Alaska Aces at 6:45 P.M. on September 29, 2019 live from the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex, Laguna.
The Beermen will try to make back-to-back wins while the Aces wanted to end their two-game losing skid when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues in Laguna this evening.
San Miguel has one mission left this season and that’s to collect the last jewel of the 44th PBA edition to complete the elusive grand slam and will be second for the franchise.
To solidify their bid this third conference where they’re not so successful in the past few years, the team went to Macao and break-in their newly acquired import.
“For a change, we had a good start from a championship (in the Commissioner’s Cup). Our stint in the Macau tourney helped us a lot,” said Austria. “We had a good bonding and it helped develop the team chemistry.”
Against Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters, Dez Wells made his PBA debut and ended with a bang as he registered 42 big points.
For Alaska on the other hand, they were unsuccessful in their first two outings. They lost against the Columbian Dyip, 110-117 and then got hammered by the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 83-102.
Alaska’s head coach Jeffrey Cariaso needed to make some adjustments in order for his team to avoid their 0-3 start.
