The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 6:45 P.M. on October 27, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.
The Beermen wants a quick bounce-back while the Bolts wanted to get a solo fourth spot in the standings when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues this evening at the Big Dome.
Meralco is having a good stride this season-ending tourney where they logged four wins out of their six campaigns.
Yet, the Bolts may saw some holes in their roster and that might be the reason why they made a player trade last week.
They have sent KG Canaleta, Mike Tolomia and a couple of future draft pick in exchange for Allein Maliksi and bruiser Raymar Jose.
With Maliksi in the squad of coach Norman Black, it will force the opposing teams to stretch their defense where front-liners like Allen Durham and Raymond Almazan will have more room to operate inside the shaded lane.
For San Miguel on the other hand, they got surprised by the rejuvenated Christian Standhardinger and the new import of the NorthPort Batang Pier.
SMB will try to officially stamp the name of their squad as one of the quarterfinal teams in this year’s Governors’ Cup.
