San Miguel (SMB) vs Phoenix | September 25, 2019 | PBA Live Streaming – 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup

The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters at 7:00 P.M. on September 25, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Beermen will start their campaign not only to win a title this conference but to make their second grand slam while the Fuel Masters will try to make a quick bounce back when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues at the Big Dome.

The last time SMB is in the same situation was during the 42nd PBA season where they only needed one more title to sweep the 2016-17 edition of the tournament.

Yet, they got hammered by their sister-team, the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel during the quarterfinals and became the eventual titleholder.

This time around, it appears that San Miguel doesn’t want to make the same mistake. Instead of taking a long break after winning the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup, the Beermen traveled to Macao and joined the 2019 EAST Asia Super League Terrific 12 as part of their preparation.

Though they aren’t able to bring home the title yet they were able to break-in their latest acquisition, Dez Wells.

Wells has shown brilliance in scoring as well as in defense during their stint in the Terrific 12, now it’s time for him to showcase his skill set in Asia’s first professional league.

“Very explosive tapos dumedepensa pa. Two-way player to and kailangan dalhin mo lahat ng knowledge mo sa basketball against him. Magaling, magaling,” said Phoenix head coach Louie Alas.

For Phoenix part, coach Alas will try to avoid the 0-2 start and his wards should be consistent in their defense where its sting should be felt the rest of the game.

In their last game versus the NLEX Road Warriors, their patented pesky defense seems like disappeared especially when it matters the most.
