The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head semi-finals round game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 7:00 P.M. on July 31, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Elasto Painters is down 0-2 and needed to do something stellar to extend their 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign while the Beermen needed one more win to return to the league’s biggest stage.
Chris Ross is much more popular than being a defensive specialist rather than to be the Beermen’s shooter. Yet, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year recipient seems like borrowed the shooting spirit of Marcio Lassiter in Game 2.
Rain or Shine blasted SMB with a 29-point advantage in the first quarter. Probably many thought that their second encounter in their best-of-five series will go to coach Caloy Garcia’s squad.
However, that run poked one of the league’s heavyweights as they immediately unleashed their true identity.
San Miguel bounced back behind the three-point shooting of Ross and they easily erased that big deficit and controlled the game.
“I think yung spirit ni Marcio Lassiter napupunta sa kanya ngayon,” said Austria. “Siya yung naging shooter namin.”
Though they got defeated in that Monday’s match, at least coach Garcia has now a hint the weak spot of their opponent and most likely the only they need to do is to be consistent all throughout the remainder of the game.
