The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa at 6:45 P.M. on June 8, 2019 live from the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

The Beermen may want to press the reset button to out things in order and make a victory while the surging KaTropa wanted to avenge their All-Filipino quarterfinals defeat when the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup resume this evening at the Ynares Center.

Their game against the NorthPort Batang Pier last Wednesday could serve as a wake-up call for the mighty Beermen.

They got lambasted with a whooping 88-121 defeat despite NorthPort don’t have their ace player Stanley Pringle who sat out once again due to an injury.

Though SMB also had several players who are either in street clothes or not present in their bench but a 33-point loss is not the SMB way. That’s even coach Leo Austria have June Mar Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot, Marcio Lassiter, Christian Standhardinger, Arwind Santors and their returning import Charles Rhodes available to play.

Rhodes who was last seen in the PBA winning a championship back in the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup delivered 27 points and 12 rebounds in his first game this conference.

The KaTropa on the other hand was involved in a nasty game versus the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters last Sunday.

Several players and coached got slapped with fines, suspensions or both after the league officials reviewed the game.

TNT import Terrence Jones is one of those players who got fined but the former Houston Rockets was able to overcome the physicality and still delivered 40 points for his squad.

His scoring prowess will be tested once again versus the former Best Import and a team that won several championships.
