The Beermen has tied the series at 1-1 in their last encounter in the Big Dome now it’s time for the KaTropa to make their response when the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup resumes this evening.

The Terrence Jones ejection and the missed free-throws of Brian Heruela and Troy Rosario probably the main factors why Talk ‘N Text win got snatched in Game 2.

“Yes exactly. Yung two free throws ni Brian and Troy, if only they made that shot, kahit isa lang nga, tapos na,” TNT coach Bong Ravena recalled.

After Rosario missed his shots during his trip from the charity line, it gave an opportunity to the Beermen to either tie or win the game if they had chosen to launch a three-pointer.

Instead, SMB guards Chris Ross and Alex Cabagnot seem both have a wireless communication device installed them and made a common decision.

“I saw that he had a step on Jayson. It looked like he (Cabagnot) wanted to go to the three, but I threw it towards the basket because all we need was a two.”

“So I kind of let him so he can go back in for a lay-up. And he got the lay-up right before the buzzer,” said Ross.

Ten players from both squads played at least 37 minutes and the top notcher on that list is SMB import Chris Mccullough who logged over 57 minutes.

He admitted that was the first time he played that long in his entire basketball career.

With only one day of rest and to prepare for tonight’s battle. Both squads will also try to calm down the “fatigue factor” to have a better edge on getting the 2-1 advantage.
