The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 3:00 P.M. on July 29, 2017 live from Ynares Centre, Antipolo.

The Beermen will start its 2017 PBA Governor’s Cup bid today against an early struggling team the Elite.

With Mac Belo back in the Blacwater roster and JP Erram showing his old lethal form, coach Leo Isaac is now gaining more confidence to his ball-club and the first victory is on the way.

John Paul Erram tallied with 11 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocks in their last outing against the Star Hotshots.

Blackwater mentor believes that if their import wasn’t get hurt in the final quarter, the story of the game probably will be way more different.

“Nu’ng nakaraan maayos sana,” said Isaac. “Kung hindi na-injured import baka naiba kuwento,” added Isaac. “Hindi ko sinasabing mananalo, baka lang naiba kuwento.”

San Miguel on the other hand will start its quest on completing an elusive grand slam this current PBA season. The team led by Fajardo, Santos, Lassiter, Cabagnot and Ross already secured the 2017 PBA Philippine and Commissioner’s Cup.

Isaac only wished that the Beermen still in the cloud 9 and their focus in the game still not sinking in.

“Ganoon naman lagi ang approach namin, positive,” said Isaac, before adding, only half in jest: “Basta kami umaasa lang na sana may hangover pa sila sa championship nila.”
