The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian Dyip at 4:30 P.M. on September 21, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Beermen are looking to make a bounce back game after absorbing a defeat prior to PBA break to give way to Gilas Pilipinas FIBA campaign while the Dyip are finding ways how to win in the season-ending tourney.
Seems like Columbian Dyip aren’t comfortable playing in the Governors’ Cup, they’re currently staring at their 21 game losing skid since 2016.
Regardless if they’re tanking or not but the squad coached by Johnedel Cardel continue to push their opponents to their limitation as they establishing themselves as a no push-around team.
In their previous outing, they gave hard time to TNT KaTropa to snag a victory. Columbian stretched the game to overtime where Terrence Romeo and Rashawn McCarthy got involved in a scuffle.
For the Beermen on the other hand, they’ll be entering the game coming from a defeat against the Blackwater Elite. Without their four-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, San Miguel seems like an average time in the PBA.
The utilization of their hi-low play is not so effective without the “Kraken” receiving the ball inside the post and as a result, their shooters unable to find clear vision on the rim.
“The other teams are pulling away at baka tuluyan kaming mapag-iwanan kapag hindi namin agad inayos sarili namin,” added Austria. “Isang panalo, isang talo malaking bagay sa standings, sa mga nangyayari ngayon.”
