The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok at 6:45 P.M. on September 30, 2018 live from Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Beermen are looking to break their .500 and hoping that it’ll go upwards while the Hotshots wanted a to improve their current 3-1 slate and join the Blackwater Elite at the second spot of the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup standings.
San Miguel finally pulled the trigger and decided to part ways with Arizona “AZ” Reid who is currently nursing an ankle injury. With Reid on the SMB helm, he was able to led the team with 2-2 card.
Their latest outing was a defeat came from the undermanned Ginebra San Miguel one week ago and it was reported that it took an hour before the entire went out from the dugout.
In their 6:45 PM against their sister company, the Beermen will parade a new import. Kevin Murphy who once played with the Utah Jazz and has an extensive experience playing in an international competition.
Having a new import for San Miguel will make their opponent to adjust and put them to work to identify his skill sets and weaknesses.
Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero admits via his interview with pba.ph that he’s not familiar with the capabilities of Kevin Murphy.
However, he will make sure that his troops will be ready for tonight’s clash.
“But I think my players would be ready for a battle and I’m hopeful we would survive if we work together for 48 minutes,” said Victolero.
