The Road Warriors will try once again on securing its chances back to the Quarterfinals round while the Beermen are hoping for a two-game winning streak.

The Blackwater Elite spoiled coach Yeng Guaio’s squad on making the first team to lock a playoff spot in the ongoing 2017 PBA Governors’ Cup.

However, NLEX still have four more chances which includes their game tonight on reaching that goal which they haven’t tasted for a very long time.

“We’re not far off our objective, although it gets tougher as the teams are preparing hard for us,” said the champion coach. “San Miguel and TnT are coming up, including Star.”

“At 5-2 we’re in a good position. Six wins assure you of a quarter. We have another four chances to do that because we have four games left.”

“We hope we can win one of those (four game). Maybe two, if we get lucky, we can win three,” he said. “I guess overall we should be happy with the way we’re playing this conference.”

After his return from 2017 FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon, June Mar Fajardo went slow in his usual “Kraken” scoring and rebounding output against GlobalPort Batang Pier.

Fajardo just logged 4 points and 1 rebound against the Terrence Romeo-led team. Still, the Beermen able to pull another win and currently lurking behind league leader Star Hotshots.

Coach Leo Austria is aware of what’s going on with the Road Warriors and seems understands what’s fueling NLEX’s determination to keep winning basketball games.

“You can’t take this team lightly because they are really determined to beat any team in the tournament,” said the back-to-back Coach of the Year following San Miguel’s win over Globalport.
