the Hotshots draw the first blood in their semi-finals series against the Beermen and will attempt to make it a commanding 2-0 lead.
During the last quarter of Game 1, June Mar Fajardo got slapped with a technical foul after he converted a basket which he thought could have been an and-one play.

Coach Chito Victolero called a time out with 30.6 remaining in the game and came up with a nice play which ended to an Aldrech Ramos clutch three-pointer. That shot by Ramos was the dagger for the Beermen.
“It’s not easy to make the finals, but we’ve learned a lot from the last conference, and that’s what we bring in this series,” said Star coach Chito Victolero during the post game interview.
“There’s no question as to the individual talent and experience of our players. What we’ve got in the last conference was what we experienced and learned as a group,” Victolero added.
