The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head quarterfinals Game 2 against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters at 7:00 P.M. on July 11, 2018 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The KaTropa Texters are looking to bounce back and tie the series to 1-1 while the Beermen are looking to end their quarterfinals match when PBA games resumes at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
During the first half of Game 1 between the TNT versus SMB last July 9, it seems that the Texters will go on the way as the Beermen shoots terrible from the field.
However, San Miguel coach Leo Austria have something in mind that can turn the momentum shift to their side.
“Hindi ko na itatago, our game plan was to send them into foul-trouble, at iyon naman ang nangyari,” said Austria.
One primary KaTropa player who went foul trouble is their import Joshua Smith, he got foul trouble and then on fourth quarter with three minutes remaining he got fouled out.
Without Smith in the TNT side, June Mar Fajardo and Renaldo Balkman took advantage the situation and the Talk ‘N Text weren’t able to recover as they surrender their Game 1 chances.
“Refs got to let me play,” said Smith. “We have to get to practice and get ready for Game Two. It’s win or go home,” Smith added.
Marcio Lassiter was the main offensive option to counter the hot start of TNT. Lassiter keeps answering by converting three-point shots. He finished the game with 26 points.
For the Talk ‘N Text side, three of its key players will be questionable to play this evening. RR Pogoy went injured after a rebound duel, Troy Rosario will be re-examined after his collided with Balkman knee and there’s Jericho Cruz who injured his right hand.
