The team Spain is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the team Slovenia at 2:30 A.M. on September 15, 2017 (PHI time) in Istanbul, Sinan Erdem Arena.
From sixteen teams it’s now down to only four as we move closer to the 2017 FIBA Eurobasket finals. The Spaniards are getting closer to defend their title while the Slovenians will keep pushing to reach the tournament’s biggest stage.
Team Spain used the third quarter to beat team Germany in the Quarterfinals round.
Marc Gasol went unstoppable either from the post or from the rainbow territory. Gasol dropped a double-double performance with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
His big brother Paul Gasol added 19 points for the Spanish squad while Ricky Rubio logged 2 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists.
Goran Dragic and the entire Slovenian basketball team survived the last quarter run of team Latvia led by Kristaps Porzingis who managed to score with 34 points.
Dragic countered Porzingis scoring production with his 26 points along with some of his magical assists.
Fans will expect another epic battle between height (Spain) and speed (Slovenia).
