The Purefoods-Star Hotshots is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 4:15 P.M. on June 7, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Hotshots will attempt on sealing a deal and secure a spot to semi-finals round and face the Beermen while the Elasto Painters wanted to have one more game.
A humongous 36-point lead which even reached up to 41 points unleashed by Star to topple Rain or Shine in their series opener.
Almost all of the players brought in to the court by coach Chito Victolero producing at least two points.
A well balanced attack by the Hotshots which made RoS confused who’s the player to defend.
Aldrech Ramos who usually quiet in scoring and more of a role player, started the Hotshots run in the second quarter where he put the basketball net on fire.
Ramos finished with 15 points along with his hot shooting from the three-point land territory of 3-of-4.
Apart from their import Duke Crews, the only local player who kept RoS in the game is Beau Belga.
In the first quarter alone, Belga contributed 12 points and played like an import.
James Yap who is averaging 20+ points in his last few games only logged 5 points while his fellow Negrosanon sniper Jeff Chan also got limited to 5 points.
“Lumusot lang kami sa kanila (in Game 2) may tsansa kami,” Jeff Chan said.
“Mabigyan lang kami ng chance maka-dikit hanggang last two minutes kaya naming makipagbakbakan sa kanila,” he added.
