Mangaldan National High School students who are members of the LGBT community are allowed to wear an attire in their upcoming JS Prom.
This is confirmed by their school principal, Dr. Leo Blaquir during his interview with GMAN News.
“Open naman kami dito hangga’t pinapayagan o may buong pahintulot ang kanilang mga magulang,” said Dr. Blaquir.
Argie Tingco who is a student of the school seems like very excited with their upcoming school event especially that he has now the go-signal to dress whatever he likes.
He said that he’ll be wearing a black ballgown.
Another student, Angelica Fernandez is also pleased with this new policy.
“Masaya po ako kasi parang tinanggap na nila yung kung ano talaga ang gusto mong isuot,” she said.
According to GMA News, the school is only following this new rule after an ordinance got passed in the municipality.
