The Terrafirma Dyip is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 4:00 P.M. on October 24, 2020 live from the AUF Sports Arena & Cultural Center in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Both squads are the remaining two ball-clubs which are still winless inside the PBA bubble, yet there’s good news as one of them will get its first victory while the other will be pushed deeper in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup standings.

Despite having two young top overall picks on their side Terrafirma continue to find difficult collecting victories after three unsuccessful outings.

For head coach Johnedel Cardel, quitting as early as now isn’t an option as the former Alaska Milkmen player wanted to stay longer in the bubble and prove that they’re no longer a pushover squad.

“I told my players in practice that regardless of what happens, we simply need to keep fighting,” Cardel said. “I know some of them missed their families already since we’ve been here at the bubble for almost a month, but I told them I don’t want to go home yet.

“That’s the reason why there’s PBA even during the pandemic. And we still have eight games so the most important thing now is we go for the win every game.”

For the Batang Pier on the other hand, though they welcomed back Kevin Ferrer this afternoon they may miss the services of Sean Anthony who got hurt in their previous game versus the NLEX Road Warriors.

That might give a new scenario for the roster of head coach Pido Jarencio but it’s expected that they will continue to rely on the scoring prowess of Christian Standhardinger.
