San Miguel Beermen guard Terrence Romeo thinking about retirement if his squad wins it all against the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok this 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
During the press conference hosted by the league, media came to the enigmatic player for few questions.
Terrence shared that he’s excited for the upcoming championship best-of-seven series and this will be his first time to be in the Finals.
Then somehow he mentioned about that big word, “retirement”.
According to him, that is the only missing piece which is lacking in his long list of accolades that span from his amateur playing days to his present day in the pro-league.
“One game at a time, tapos kung makukuha namin yun kahit papano nakuha ko na yung pinakakulang para sa akin. I mean kulang na award para sa sarili ko tapos baka mag-retire na ako after” said Romeo.
Also according to what he said in that presscon, the only championship he was able to experience is during his stint in barangay leagues.
“Kasi yun lang talaga ang pinaka-dream ko eh mag-champion sa PBA kasi wala nga akong championship simula college days ko high school days tapos nagcha-champion ako kumbaga sa barangay lang,” he said.
Yet, in case he made up his mind to let go and say goodbye to the PBA anytime he can also decide to make a comeback.
“Pagnag-retire naman pwede namang bumalik di ba,” said Romeo.
