Terrence Romeo the newly acquired guard of the San Miguel Beermen has decided to put bad memories behind and focuses on proving his worth with his new team.
Although the former scoring champion kept his lips close but most likely one of those bad memories was his time playing with the TNT KaTropa.
According to an article published earlier by the inquirer, seven of Romeo’s former teammates in Talk ‘N Text asked their top officials to trade him.
Team chemistry is one of the main ingredients on how to make successful squads. Since the majority of TNT players have spoken Romeo was put in the team’s trade list.
Probably after learning the news, the Beermen immediately bites the trade bait and packaged David Semerad, Brian Heruela and a future first round pick to obtain the high-scoring guard.
According to a source who was interviewed by spin.ph, Romeo preferred to be silent and currently working hard to to prove his worth as a Beermen.
“Terrence chose to remain silent amidst the rumors. He would rather prove his worth through his new team,” said the source.
With his scheduled arrival with San Miguel, the franchise’s top officials, coaching staff and players are making sure that he will be comfortable with the team. Several of his new teammates are sending him welcome messages.
“He is grateful to sir RSA (Ramon Ang), Sir Alfrancis Chua, and coach Leo (Austria) as well as the whole coaching staff and management. He has received welcome messages from Alex Cabagnot and Chris Ross. Coach Gee Abanilla (team manager) has also been very supportive,” said the source.
