The Neophoenix shows signs that they’re ready to climb out from the bottom pit of the standings while the Magic are eyeing revenge after a close-game defeat yesterday.

The 23-years-old phenom from the Philippines has translated his eye-popping resume credentials to reality as he boosts his Japan-based squad to a victory last night.

Though not yet in his usual basketball game shape, Ravena managed to help his squad took control of the fourth quarter where he generated eight points during that stretch.

“Definitely, I’m very thankful to all the supporters who watched,” said Thirdy during his post-game interview.

“As you can see, I still have a lot to improve on especially my conditioning I’m really tired, but I’m very happy that the team won,” he added. “That was a great game.”

San-En was leading in the final frame by ten points with four minutes remaining in the game. Seems like they’re going to a sure victory yet the home-team able to storm back as they took advantage of the errors committed by their opponent. Shimane Susanoo even took the lead 82-81 at the 00:19 mark after Magic’s Demon Brooks converted his pair of free-throws.

However, on the other end, the visiting squad found their cold-blooded player as veteran guard Hayato Kawashima swished his pair visit from the charity stripes and most importantly they complete to steal the victory.

Surprisingly, during those crucial moments in the last period where both teams fighting for momentum, Neophoenix head coach Branislav Vićentić decided to keep Ravena on their bench. Most probably, the Serbian bench chief tactician preferred tested chemistry over their newly minted player. Yet, sure enough, Thirdy will earn more trust from his new coach and the time is on the way where we see the former Ateneo Blue Eagle take those game-winning basket.
