Former Ateneo Blue Eagles guard Thirdy Ravena was reported that he was tested positive for COVID-19.

The announcement was made by his Japan B-League basketball club, the San-En NeoPhoenix through Twitter.

“Our player-Thirdy Ravena tested positive for COVID-19. Please support him for recovery.”

Likewise, it was also announced through its official website.

“On the morning of November 26th (Thursday), he reported that he was in poor physical condition, and when the temperature was measured, a fever of 38.2 ° C was confirmed.”

The good news is that the younger brother of Kiefer and son of former PBA Rookie of the Year, Bong Ravena is now recovering from the virus.

“As of 10 o’clock on the 27th (Friday), Ravena’s body temperature had dropped to 36.9 ° C, his sore throat had subsided, and his sense of taste and smell was normal. Currently, he is receiving medical treatment at home.” according to the NeoPhoenix official site.

Thirdy traveled to Japan and became the first-ever player to be signed-in under the league’s Asian Player Quotas system which involves non-Japanese Asian imports. He made his announcement last June 24, 2020 that he will suit-up with the San-en NeoPhoenix in B.League’s 2020-21 season.
