The TNT KaTropa taps another former Houston Rockets player and he is KJ McDaniels.
McDaniels was a Philadelphia 76ers 32nd pick in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft.
He played a total of 52 games in Philly where he averaged 9.2 points per game with a 25.4 minutes per outing.
Then he traded to Houston on February 19, 2015 where he played alongside with the last conference’s Best Import awardee, Terrence Jones.
According to reports, Jones didn’t endorse McDaniel to the KaTropa but he was scouted by the team’s consultant Mark Dickel in the NBA G-League.
With his familiarity with the Mike D’Antoni basketball system which is very much similar to what TNT is executing this season more particularly with the arrival of Jones in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The franchise is looking forward that they’ll harvest identical results in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup but this time around with the ultimate jewel in the end.
