The Bolts shocked the KaTropa in Game 2 to claim their first victory in this semi-finals round. It’s now time for TNT to do their assignment and that’s making its needed adjustment to restore order.

One of the areas why the Bolts unable to make an impressive outing in Game 1 is because of their individualistic type of play where their head coach Norman Black doesn’t like.

They addressed that in Game 2 and their offense were more fluid and most probably confused the defense of their opponent.

“Siguro may something na ginawa sila na hindi kami prepared and then outhustled, out-effort, so lahat,” said shifty KaTropa guard Jayson Castro. “Siguro i-match lang namin ‘yung energy nila and then we’ll have a big chance to win next game,” he added.

Yet, for coach Black that something which Castro trying to understand was the teamwork showcased by his squad.

“We thought that in Game 1 we were too individualistic and we didn’t really execute offensively. Normally when you play that offense everybody is in the right spot, we need great spacing and in Game 1 we had none of that,” said coach Black.

“Today we just focused on executing our offense, getting the ball to our point of attack, which is… AD (Durham) is the No. 1 point of attack for our team. Because we were able to do that, it made it a lot easier for us to space the floor and for him to score. That’s something we just have to continue doing for the rest of the series,” Black added.

One of the key players who also made a difference for Meralco is the stellar performance of Baser Amer who dropped 20 points where most of his scoring damage came in the first half.

“Baser Amer was able to score the basketball for us, which is what we need,” noted Black. “We need him to be the leader as far as our scoring is concerned and he has to get his points up on the board and he did a great job.”

However, coach Black still anxious about what KJ McDaniels, RR Pogoy and Jayson Castro will bring in Game 3 as they are expected to make a huge bounce back tonight.
