The Talk ‘N Text KaTropa is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Meralco Bolts at 6:45 P.M. on October 12, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Cubao, Quezon City.
The red hot KaTropa wanted to flame burning and stretch their winning streak to six while the Bolts will try to put a stain on their tonight’s opponent win-loss record when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues in Cubao this evening.
Though Talk ‘N Text still undefeated this third conference, head coach Bong Ravena wanted his troops to display a much better defense especially they’re now entering the other half schedule of the tournament.
Against the NorthPort Batang Pier, TNT was able to escape and still able to register their five consecutive victories via a 103-100 victory.
Coach Ravena is somehow pleased with the defense they displayed but still more tweaks needed.
“There was a little improvement from our defense compared to last time, especially in the latter part of the game. We still have to continue working hard on defense,” said Ravena.
Meralco is considered one of the heavyweights this conference considering their past success along with their import Allen Durham.
In their game against the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters, Durham dropped 27 points and 12 rebounds performance.
Apart from their foreign hire player, Chris Newsome and Raymond Almazan also had their own double-double output. Actually, Newsome posted a triple-double show with his 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists while Alamazan got 14 points and 12 boards.
