The Talk ‘N Text KaTropa is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 4:30 P.M. on October 9, 2019 live from the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.
The KaTropa wanted to keep their record stays unblemished while the BatanPier will try to end their three-game losing slump when the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup continues in Pasay this afternoon.
At first glance many will say that Talk ‘N Text is doing everything properly that’s why they’re still undefeated this conference. Yet, for their head coach Bong Ravena his squad is not doing well particularly in defense.
In their past two games, TNT allowed their opponents scored at least 118 points.
“We have to prevent our opponent from scoring more than 90 points,” said Ravena. “We barely made it our last game. We cannot play like that on defense,” added Ravena.
For NorthPort camp, on the other hand, Sean Anthony is back after got sidelined due to an ankle injury.
His presence will add veteran presence for the team of coach Pido Jarencio to help carry the scoring load which is currently being handled by Mo Tautuaa and Robert Bolick.
Coach Ravena wanted that this afternoon his troops will execute their defense properly to prepare them for much bigger games.
“‘Yung old saying, na defense wins championships,” said Ravena. “That’s why we must be on-point if we hope to at least stretch our streak.”
