After a disappointing game against team Canada, Ali Muhammed found its rhythm as team Turkey dumped team Senegal when two team clashed in 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament held in Pasay, Philippines.
The 5’10 point guard was unstoppable in the 4th quarter as he dropped 15 points in the last quarter of the game. Muhammed was 0-of-8 from the field against team Canada, where he only scored a single point that only came from a split free-throw.
Turkey led as many as 10 points after the buzzer sound in the second quarter 23-33. However, Senegal fought back as they cut the deficit down to 3 points in the 4th quarter but they were not able to find an answer to stop the Turkish guard.
Starting Center, Semih Erden added 14 points with 11 rebounds while shooter Sinan Guler registered 8 points.
With the loss, Senegal is the second team got eliminated in the 2016 FIBAOQT – Manila leg. Maleye N’Doye led his team in scoring with 15 points along with his 9 boards while teammate Maurice Ndour chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds.
