#WalangPasok | Class Suspensions On Wednesday (September 18, 2019)

Classes for both public and private schools are suspended in select areas on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 due to bad weather brought by tropical depression “Nimfa” by the southwest monsoon.

Here are the areas declared by its local government unit where classes are suspended:

All Levels

    • Macabebe
  • Pangasinan
    • Aguilar
    • Mangatarem
    • Bugallon
  • Iloilo
    • Leon

Preschool to Senior High School

  • Iloilo
    • Iloilo City
  • Pangasinan

According to PAGASA, the low-pressure area they’re tracking for the past 24 hours is now elevated to a tropical depression and it was given the name “Nimfa”.

Tropical depression Nimfa is located at 695 KM east of Basco, Batanes. It has a maximum wind of 55 KPH and it has a gustiness of 70 KPH. Also, according to the news bureau, its movement is almost stationary.

On the other hand, the other LPA they’re tracking, PAGASA is expecting that it will dissipate in the next 48 hours.

Likewise, they mentioned that the southwest monsoon or “hanging habagat” will continue to bring rains in the large area of Luzon as well as in the Western Visayas.
