Christian Standhardinger First Two Points As A Gilas Pilipinas Player
Standhardinger entered the basketball court of 2017 William Jones Cup as a big-man substitute for import Mike Myers at 4:10 mark of the first quarter.
The 6’8 player who have roots from Angono, Rizal wasted no time and found his first two points as a member of Gilas Pilipinas from the pass of Jio Jalalon.
Philippines basketball squad looks very formidable if Myers and Standhardinger plays together. They helped Gilas pulled 16 offensive rebounds but turnovers and fouls which resulted to a 31 made opponent’s free-throws cost them a game.
TV5 sports commentator Magoo Marjon asked veteran basketball analyst Quinito “the Dean” Henson to rate the game of Christian. Henson answered that on the scale of 1 to 10 he gave Standhardinger a 6.
While giving his ratings, the Fil-German is dribbling the ball from the backcourt, seems like he’s also showcasing his dribbling skills. Marjon jokingly replied to Henson “Naging 6.5 na”.
Christian Standhardinger finished the game against team Canada with alomost a double-double performance. He tallied 9 points and 10 rebounds.
