Greg Slaughter and Justin Brownlee boosted Barangay Ginebra San Miguel past the visiting Korean club Jeonju, 98-78.
The beloved import of Ginebra fans logged 36 points while Slaughter added 18 markers and remains undefeated in their tune-up games.
Brownlee’s explosion in the first half where he produced 22 points and then “Gregzilla” caught fire in the second half as he poured 14 points against Jeonju.
“We played outstanding tonight. We are not going to play like that every night. We shot the ball well, we moved the ball, we defended well,” said Ginebra head coach Tim Cone.
Seems like their opponent still have jet lag when they played at the Upper Deck as they were unable to convert their open jumpers.
“They did not shoot the ball well. They had a bunch of open shots. Usually, when you leave someone open, it’s lights out. They missed a lot of open ones. We were fortunate,” said Cone.
