Yordenis Ugas surmounts all favors and tops Manny Pacquiao to retain the WBA World Welterweight title.

“54 Milagros” was a 4-1 underdog, approaching into his WBA welterweight title defense on Saturday against “Pacman”

Ugas used his advantages including his power against Pacquiao and delivered combos to win by unanimous decision (116-112, 116-112, 115-113)

“I’m very excited, but I want to thank Manny Pacquiao for giving me this moment today,” Ugas said after the glorious fight against Pacquiao.

Pacquiao used the speedy and powerful combinations that he used to defeat countless opponents before to match the advantages of Ugas. Midway through the round, Ugas started to execute some of his jabs using his long-stretching arms against the senator from the Philippines to keep him at bay.

Within the sixth round of the fight, the tides started to shift. Ugas began to punish Pacquaio with his powerful punches that hurt him, making a brief grimace on his face.

Pacquaio had one last chance against Ugas in the tenth round as he was sending a mixture of swift punches from both of his arms to counter a punch from Ugas.

But in the last two rounds of the match, Ugas gave his utmost against Pacquiao. The momentum was with Ugas and he gave Pacquiao a tough time as he keeps on punching the 42-year old boxer.

After the historic matchup, Pacquiao shared his thoughts about his retirement, but the answer was vague.

“I don’t know,” Pacquaio shared. “I’m going to go rest and relax. I will make that decision later.”
