Zamboanga City Jail Woman Inmate Who Died Last Thursday Turned Out To Be Positive With COVID-19

The woman inmate in Zamboanga City Jail who died last Thursday is positive of COVID-19.


According to the COVID-19 task force of the city, they have received the test result of the 61-years-old inmate. She was also the 60th confirmed case in the city of Zamboanga.


On April 30, the woman inmate was brought to Mindanao Central Sanitarium Hospital as she’s having breathing difficulty. She has undergone a swab test and was considered as COVID-19 suspect after she has shown nCoV symptoms. Yet, after several hours the patient died due to pneumonia, diabetes, and type-2 uncontrolled hyperglycemia state.
